Humans of Dublin’s posts vary.
They can be funny, sad, refreshing, gripping and, often, eye-opening.
Which is exactly what yesterday’s post of an elderly man was.
“I wish I could start over without alcohol… I feel like I was working mostly to buy drink the past forty years. While others had bills, I had bills and alcohol to pay for. It’s a horrible addiction. And you don’t see the years pass by, I’ve been drinking since I was a kid. I’m nearly 70 now and I still have to work.”
